My dog absolutely loves it here. I wouldn’t pick anywhere else for him to go! The owners are so lovely and he has plenty of other dogs to be social with too. Plus, when he needs time to chill, the suites are another level to anywhere I’ve ever seen. He’s always excited to go and I can tell he’s had such a fab time when I pick him up. It definitely makes me feel less guilty about going away!

Fabulous pet hotel. Highly recommended. Our 22 month collie, Mac, stayed here for a week - best decision we made for him where he was well looked after, exercised and fussed over. Daily video updates of playtimes and exercise and real time snapshots of him in his luxury bed, resting and watching movies in his own room. Neil (owner) is completely dedicated to this business and looks after each dog as if they were his own. Will definitely use Barton Lodge again. You really can leave your family dog here and leave them with no worries or concerns. Your dog won’t miss you as much as you miss them!!

I was so anxious leaving my boy for the first time, he is a very bouncy boxer so can be a handful!! But I must say it was nothing Neil and the team couldn’t handle. He absolutely loved his stay at Barton lodge and has come back looking so well (even if he did not want to come back at all!!) I’m so glad to have found somewhere that treats each dog as their own!! The daily updates are a bonus, it’s lovely to see videos of your pup playing with the other dogs and having a great time. Max is shattered from all the fun and already can’t wait for his next stay in October! Worth every penny

We have booked our dog Loki for a week in May here and we were not disappointed. The dog suites are lovely and he got plenty of exercise and playtime with other dogs. We were quite anxious because it was the first time we left our dog but Neil sent us regular updates and videos. Loki had a great time and we were confident he was in good hands. The grounds are beautiful and have plenty of space for dogs to run. We would definitely recommend this pet hotel. Neil is really professional and dogs just love him. Happy customers!

We left our Dalmatian violet in the care of Barton lodge for one night, obviously I was a mess and hated the thought of leaving our pooch! However!! She couldn’t have been in better care! She was in her element making new friends and having the best time! Neil was amazing with her and my nerves! He sent me lots of photos and video and updates of her playing, sleeping, playing some more! She really didn’t want to come home!
Violet can be a little bit weary of new men, but she took to Neil like I’ve never seen before! He has an absolute genuine affinity and love for dogs big and small! She’s now absolutely fast asleep after playing with her new best friends
We can not recommend Barton lodge enough and we will not be going anywhere else or trust anyone else to look after my spotty dog!

We put our border collie in with gang in September! This was the first time Murphy had ever been somewhere that wasn’t with family so I was especially nervous! However we couldn’t have been made feel more at ease. Murphy absolutely loved it and that was evident through the videos and photos being sent throughout his stay!!
This place goes above and beyond and unlike others the dogs are allowed off the lead and freedom to be themselves.
I would highly recommend Barton Lodge and wouldn’t hesitate to send Murphy back.

What an amazing place Barton Lodge Luxury Pet Hotel is. The location is just perfect its set in a secured woodland. Buddy got to watch TV in the comfort of his very own heated Den on a very special bed when he wasn't bouncing around with his new friends.
Neil is a very kind hearted gentlemen who has created the perfect Pet hotel, we are so very grateful of how much care and attention he gave Buddy on his 2 night sleepover.

I left my two dogs for an over night stay at Barton Lodge and I would recommend it to all dog owners especially those owners who feel anxious leaving their dogs because they have their own special ways, I have a nervous 12 year old and a wild 11 month old, both Brittany Spaniels and Barton Lodge welcomed them with open arms and provided a superior and customer focused service you really won’t get anywhere else. The dogs live in luxury with large woodland area to roam free in as all grounds are secure and even with other dogs at the lodge you’d never know they were there, as the place was so quiet. For dog owners who love their pets this is the place where you can walk away knowing your pets have everything and more plus the video updates from Neil immediately puts your mind at ease. Having never left my dogs with anyone for 14 years as I never felt comfortable leaving them with anyone I left them at Barton Lodge knowing they were in safe and caring hands. It’s a 5 star hotel with 5 star service focused to the needs of each dog, providing all the cuddles and reassurance my 12 your old needed and all the exercise my 11 month old needed. It’s such a relief to now be able to go on holidays with no worries or concerns about how my dogs are being looked after, because I know they are having a fabulous time too.

My precious angels have just returned from a wonderful stay at the 5* Barton Lodge Luxury Pet Hotel. Without doubt the BEST animal boarding facility in the Midlands! So convenient, just off the M1 near East Midlands Airport ......
a true home-from-home approach and superb service from drop-off to collection! I think the dogs had a better holiday than I did!
We will definitely be returning, as it’s such a relief to know that my dogs are getting complete love and care in my absence! They received plenty of exercise in the spectacular woodland grounds and lawns and it was wonderful to be able to see them everyday through the CCTV ..... Thank you again and see you again soon.

I can't praise Barton Lodge enough. Neil and the staff are incredible. This was our first time leaving our 2 dogs for an extended period of time and after a bad experience at another kennels I was more nervous than ever about leaving them. One of my dogs is a rescue and has always been nervous of new people and other dogs and the other has always reacted badly to changes in his routine. Within literally minutes of getting to Barton Lodge both were busy exploring the grounds and not bothered one bit by me leaving. The suites are lovely and clean, spacious and the staff cater to your pet's every need. The daily updates mean you can fully enjoy your holiday safe in the knowledge that your dogs are having the time of their lives as well. I would recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back (in fact we are now looking into booking another trip away knowing how much they both enjoyed it!). Fabulous from start to finish.

We have just collected our two border terriers Perry and Betty. What a wonderful time they have had! Luxury suite, walking, running, playing in fabulous grounds. They've made many canine friends whom I'm sure they are going to miss. We very much looked forward to receiving their daily videos. As Perry and Betty both have serious health issues it was so good to know that we had left them in very capable hands. Neil is so knowledgeable and in tune with the dogs in his care. Well, where do I start? ! I was so worried about leaving our not so little puppy Ruby for 13 nights for her first long stay away from us. She’s usually a bit nervous around strangers but I really didn’t need to worry! Neil is the dog whisperer and Ruby has had an absolute blast of a holiday! From the second we met Neil and had a few visits on the Freedom Field and an overnight trial, I knew Ruby was going to be just fine! We had daily updates and videos of her hols and they were so lovely and reassuring to see! Ruby has come home so happy and well cared for and it’s plain to see she’s loved her stay! Our small Kokoni rescue Oscar recently stayed with Neil and his team at Barton Luxury Pet Hotel. And it is exactly what it says on the tin!
Neil’s passion for his guests (large or small) is completely evident when you meet him. He is charming, extremely knowledgeable and confident and makes you and your dog feel at ease immediately. This is so important, if like me, you are a nervous wreck when leaving your precious pup.
The suites are clean and spacious and you can take anything you like to make your dog feel at home.
The dogs get plenty of off lead exercise in a beautiful and secure environment. They are responsibly socialised with the other guests and it was clear that Oscar was thoroughly enjoying himself. I knew this because of the lovely videos I received on a daily basis, watching him running and playing. Oscar will be a regular guest and I recommend them very highly. You will not be disappointed!

We booked our little Cavalier King Charles spaniel in here whilst we were away on our holidays. He was only six months old and I was so worried about him being on his own at such a young age. When we dropped him off he stayed in the office for a few hours, which was very reassuring to know. Every day we got video updates and little Duggee was having the time of his life and he certainly didn’t seem to want to come home when we went to collect him. I would definitely recommend this pet hotel, amazing, worth every penny.

Highly recommend Barton Lodge. Our cocker had a wonderful time playing and a comfortable night’s sleep in his own bed (he is used to a human bed lol) he was so exhausted when we collected him - sign of a good holiday! She settled into her suite beautifully, she loves running around the grounds and it’s helped her socialisation and doggy manners massively! The freedom field is a brilliant feature to use even when your pup isn’t stopping the night.

Patient, Caring, Excellent, Understanding, Experienced, Unique…… Words that I associate with Barton Lodge Luxury Pet Hotel. In the first time in 5 years my partner and I went away without our dogs only because I discovered this gem of a place. During my look around and after speaking to Neil I knew my dogs would be well cared for and I was not disappointed but, Barton Lodge Luxury Hotel exceeded my expectations. My two very much-loved girls; a JRT (Poppy) and American Bull Dog (Clio) shared a lovely warm room, with a comfy bed and T.V. The room backed onto a beautiful paddock so they could ‘squirrel and bird watch’ at any time. They had regular walks and was monitored via installed cameras to ensure they both were settled/sleeping in between their walks and cuddles from Neil and his Partner. Clio is a rescue dog who was in kennels for several months before we adopted her so I knew staying away from home might be a challenge for her. I didn’t need to worry, Neil and his partner gave her extra reassurance and cuddles and soon, she settled just like her companion Poppy. Daily photographs and several videos were sent to me over the course of the week (optional). This Pet Hotel is a gem and I am currently focusing on booking my next holiday so I can book Poppy and Clio in for another stay or should I say Holiday because this is a holiday for them too. Thank you so much.

Barton Lodge is the most amazing haven for your dog/s. Our cockapoo Milo just had his first ever holiday with Neil and his staff. I couldn’t praise them all enough for looking after our special fur baby.
With it being Milos’ first time away I was very apprehensive but straight the way I was put at ease and all of them give you that peace of mind…they really love their jobs and that clearly shows. Milo had the best time with lots of attention, cuddles and plenty of walks. Also the daily updates of videos is lovely.
I would 100% recommend them to anyone and will certainly book Milo in again.

Worth every penny!!! Our lovely little cocker spaniel George stayed here whilst we were on hols in Mallorca for 10 days.
It was the first time he’d been away from us so we were quite anxious to leave him outside of our care for a long period, but after seeing Barton Lodge reviews and their social media pages/website we were sure it was going to be an excellent option.
We received lots of photos and videos from Neil on WhatsApp during his stay which makes you feel so at ease. It was lovely to watch him walking in the grounds and playing so nicely with the other dogs. The little bedrooms they get to sleep in are also fab.
So professional and you can tell Neil and the team love what they do! Dogs are treated like their own! George has been an angel since arriving home so you’ve definitely done a great job! Thank you for looking after him and we will see you again!

We left our pup for his first night away from us in Neil’s care after recommendations and seeing the great facilities for ourselves. Of course I was a paranoid parent and worried unnecessarily! We soon saw what a great time our pup was having from the regular updates and how happy he was around Neil when we collected him.
The proof in the pudding came yesterday when we dropped Woody off for his second overnight stay. He leapt out of the car and towards Neil (Tail wagging like mad!) and made himself very comfortable in Neil’s office - he clearly felt home from home and we knew that he would be well cared for and have a great time.
We won’t hesitate to leave Woody with Neil again, whether that’s for a night, a week or any other duration and there’s really no better recommendation I can give than that!

I visited Barton Lodge luxury pet hotel whilst hunting for places to leave our two Bulldog puppies.
After meeting Neil I immediately asked him where I needed to sign and booked them in straight away. It’s completely different to the other kennels I visited. Neil only has a small amount of dogs at any one time so he can devote his time to each dog. We received daily updates with pictures and videos which was really reassuring. The grounds are fabulous and the rooms the dogs stay in are amazing, flat screen TV’s, chandeliers and CCTV, plus the cosy cot beds that our dogs loved! (We are so buying one of those for home)!
Neil is so friendly and welcoming and puts you at ease the minute you meet him.
When I arrived to collect our pups they weren’t even interested in me but continued to follow Neil around the grounds.
We will never use anywhere else for our pups and they are already booked in for our next holiday (and theirs).
We have no hesitation in recommending Barton Lodge and if you want excellent quality care and reassurance for your dogs there’s no other place quite like this.
