Nutrition

A well fed dog is a happy dog and we cater for all dietary requirements!
We provide only the highest quality pet food to our guests and we can provide a bespoke service should you have specific dietary requirements, such as a raw-food diet.
Our premium pet food comes in a range of flavour varieties which are rotated throughout a guests stay to ensure maximum anticipation and enjoyment of feeding time. We appreciate that some guests will prefer wet foods and this is also catered for.
We are also happy to maintain preferred feeding regimes, however with this service, owners are required to place individual servings in zip-lock bags and write your name and feeding instructions clearly on each food parcel. These will then be stored and refrigerated/frozen in our exclusive dog feeding kitchen.
In addition to regular meals, we are also happy to provide RAW, HYPOALLERGENIC, WHEAT/GRAIN FREE DIETS, just let us know.

Wellbeing & Welfare

We all love going on holiday but for some encountering new and strange surroundings can be a daunting experience. We want guests at Barton Lodge to feel immediately at home so we encourage owners to bring with them favourite items such as toys and bedding & blankets so that their dog feels as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
Barton Lodge provides “Snuggle Cushions” which really help your pet keep calm whilst you’re away. Please bring with you an old t-shirt that you have worn, or maybe a pillowcase from your bed and we put them inside our snuggle cushions so that they have your scent with them at all times.
At Barton Lodge we care passionately about our guests and will treat your dog as our own giving it all the attention it needs to ensure it settles in quickly and enjoys its time with us to the full.

Security & Safety

The security and safety of guests is of paramount importance to us. We have CCTV cameras throughout the facility that are monitored from reception during the working day and have a constant security presence throughout the night and on Sundays, when except for prearranged pick ups, Barton Lodge is closed to the public and is by appointment only.

Individual Suites

Accommodation at Barton Lodge is ‘all suite’ with each room coming with its own separate leisure and sleeping areas. Each of our dog guests enjoy a private, fully covered area, where they can relax throughout the day and a separate quiet area where they can settle down and snooze! Each suite has been designed to keep guests as comfortable and contented as possible and include, flat screen TV, chandeliers, Designer Boori Sleigh Beds with sprung memory foam mattresses. Each suite benefits from a temperature controlled environment that ensures the are kept cosy in the winter and cool in the summer.

Chauffeured Airport Service

The run up to going on holiday can be a stressful time, so for your assistance we can offer a full Airport shuttle and secure Airport Parking service. Simply arrive at at Barton Lodge at a pre-arranged time with your cases and pet and let us do the rest for you. Leave your car within our secure parking area, when you drop off your pet and let us shuttle you to the airport departure point and be there to collect you on your return.

Medication

If medication needs to be administered this will be undertaken provided the animal accepts the medication without resistance, and that it can be administered by one of our non-veterinary qualified team.

Vaccinations

We want all the animals in our care to remain healthy and unfortunately we cannot admit any guest to Barton Lodge that does not have evidence of up-to-date inoculations, including kennel cough.

In order to protect the health of our guests, we do require that’s pets be current on vaccinations and free of internal and external parasites. Upon check-in, a courtesy health check is performed on each guest by a member of our Hotel team.

*Please note that we do not board female dogs or cats who are in heat or due to be in season during their stay.

The Bordetella or kennel cough vaccine must have been administered a minimum of two weeks prior to your dogs stay.

Veterinary Services

In the unfortunate event that a guest becomes ill whilst staying with us we have access to veterinary services 24 hours a day. Our practise of choice is Pinfold Vets who can be found at www.Pinfoldvets.co.uk.
Please notify us on arrival of any ongoing treatments or known medical conditions affecting your dog and note that we reserve the right to refuse admission to Barton Lodge of any guest showing signs of ill health.

Day Care

If you find yourself in a situation where you need to be without your dog for the day we can look after it for you. Our doggy day care facility is available during business hours Mon-Friday 9am-7pm.
